Navigating the College Application Maze

 Getting ready to apply to colleges in the fall? This course--designed for students and/or parents--will provide an overview of the college application process, from deciding where to apply to making the final decision We'll cover general application procedures (public schools, private schools, Common App), whether to consider early action/decision, getting recommendations (who to ask and what to ask for), techniques for writing strong essays, scholarship and financial aid basics, and strategies for keeping everything organized. We'll also discuss the current college admissions climate, and there will be ample time for questions. Many shortcuts, time-saving resources, and "insider" tips will be provided. (1 class)
